Once a year the Bay Area hippies, and music loving youth, amass on Golden Gate Park to celebrate music, smoking weed, and the joy of knowing all this is only a few minutes from their houses and not a sweaty desert or mountain range. Not being stuck in a tent all weekend is fun sometimes, but come on we’re deep into festival season and at this point a shower and bed after raging all night to badass music sounds better.
The festival, which has been around since 2009, is now in it’s 6th year, and never ceasing to deliver. This year the festival garnished it’s entrants with headliners the likes of Kanye West, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Killers, Tiesto, The Flaming Lips, Haim, Boys Noize, Dum Dum Girls, Flume, Cut/Copy, CHVRCHES, Lykke Li, Gorgon City, Big Freedia, Chromeo, Warpaint, Holy Ghost!, Tegan & Sara, Disclosure & the Arctic Monkeys to name a few! We’ll have our Art Directors James Pawlish & Lance Skundrich their killing it for us on coverage for you guys along with our badass contributing photographer Andrew Rauner! They have a lot planned and we can’t wait to see all the crazy shit they bring back! -SPOILER ALERT- Polaroids are involved, and lots and lots of alcohol with that music!
