If you don’t know about Shae Detar yet let me help you out from under that rock. Shae has been making large waves in the art and fashion worlds with her hand painted photography. Popular themes within her photography are the female form and deserted landscapes, creating an intimate window for the viewer through her lens. The saturated and evenly applied paint makes these photos jump out at you like a roll of LifeSavers candy. Yet her strokes are deliberately packed with a pre-determined mood and can range from soft and whimsical to a heavily layered rainbow aesthetic. It wasn’t long before fashion houses like Free People, Alice and Olivia and Novella Royale came knocking at her door and something tells me this is just the beginning of fashion collaborations for this young artist.
