The sets of JeeYoung Lee’s inner psyche are created by hand and without any digital manipulation. In her tiny 160 ft² studio in Seoul, South Korea she works for weeks at a time to prepare a single installation to photograph. Her work is a playful self-exploration of her dreams, desires and experiences shown in surreal landscapes. Using her 4×5 large format camera to capture her imagination coming to life, Lee has had solo exhibitions at OCI Museum of Art in South Korea, OPIOM Gallery in France and has been working her way into American news outlets as of recently.
