The Brand Sexual Nature is primarily made up of Hugo Lopez and Mark Sheldon but, there is quite a crew backing the brand. We got a chance to sit down and chat with the Sexual Nature boys and pick their brains a bit. The images featured here are from their last event in San Francisco at Harlot night club with sexy DJ Duo Posso and DJ Fista Cuffs laying down dirty sounds all night to accompany the sexual vibe. Q: What is Sexual Nature?
A: Sexual Nature is a San Francisco based fashion influenced lifestyle brand. Focussing on creating fun, conscious apparel, products and events, Sexual Nature strives to bring sexy street fashion to the sexual masses.
Q: Why “Sexual Nature?”
A: We here at Sexual Nature love nature and the amazing natural world that is all around us. A huge part of that world is sex and sexuality. Without nature there would be no sex; and without sex, no nature! This is a beautiful thing, a circle of life and love that inspires everything we do! That’s why we call ourselves Sexual Nature.
Q: What does Sexual Nature mean to you?
A: Sexual Nature means the world to us. It expresses our lifestyle, what we are about. It’s a collaborative expression of artistic creativity by a small group of passionate, talented, and fun loving people taking things to the next level.
Q: How long has Sexual Nature been around?
A: We first came up with the idea for Sexual Nature late Fall of 2012 and officially organized as Sexual Nature Clothing LLC April 2013. We have been off and rolling ever since.
Q: Where do you see Sexual Nature in 5 years?
A: Over the course of the next five years we envision Sexual Nature to continue to grow. A much larger line of clothing and merchandise, bigger events, more stores carrying our stuff and promoting the Sexual Nature lifestyle. We would like to possibly open our own store front, and definitely want to move into doing our own cut and saw garments.
Q: How Sexual in Nature are you?
A: About as Sexual as one can get without breaking any laws or social codes of conduct. I mean we love animals, but come on. We are not out tickling wolves or fondling fish. But we love nature none the less.
Q: Tell me about a Sexual act you have committed in Nature.
A: Well, there was this one time… does dirty festival tent sex count as being natural? And really, who hasn’t made passionate love under the pale moonlight? And who hasn’t frolicked naked through Golden Gate Park? Or is that just us? Uhm…Next question please.
Q: Does this have any influence on the name of the company?
A: Yes, most definitely. We take inspiration from and embrace all the fun, weird, freaky stuff that life has to offer. Life, love, nature, and everything in between. It’s a wild, wonderful world out there. And the name Sexual Nature embodies this idea.
Q: What’s next in the Sexual Nature line?
A: In the near future we will be dropping Sexual Nature booty shorts, snap-back hats, and some Sexual outerwear. We also have a couple super sexy events in the works; Halloween at Harlot is going to be off the chain.
