Presented by Goldenvoice, the second annual First City Festival will be held this year on August 23 & 24 in Monterey, CA at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center. This year’s lineup is something you’re not gonna wanna miss either! Some of the featured acts include: Beck, The National, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Phantogram, Best Coast, Cults, Cocorosie, Future Islands, and many more!
Last year’s opening weekend was beyond successful, something the festival promotors at Goldenvoice are trying to replicate once again. You may know Goldenvoice from other festivals such as Coacehlla and Splash House.
From the crowd whom trekked there to the acts amazingly majestic performances, it couldn’t have been more down to earth and ethereal last year. Through the music and laughter, rain seemed to peek through the clouds along with the sun’s rays gleaming down from time to time. The entire experience was a romantic one to say the least. We assure you from all the magnificent bands, vendors, and carnival rides there is no shortage of things to do and see – Monterey is an ideal location for an enchanting festival which still holds it’s intimate conquest, great live music.
