Sometimes in a rare moon you come across an artist where you scroll down their page for one minute and say to yourself, “yup, I’m obsessed.” This is exactly what happened to us when we came across the brilliantly clever artist Chad Wys. It’s mostly an additive process with him. He finds a piece of artwork already in existence and then adds simple geometric shapes or bold brush strokes to create a whole new piece. Chad chooses found ceramic pieces, renaissance paintings and small porcelain figurines as his canvas. Occasionally he will distort or collage the found pieces of art but most the time his subtle additions are enough to catch the eye.
