Shereen Younes is a Photographer/mixed media/ink illustration artist from Los Angeles, CA. The newest submission to Nakid is an ink illustration that has us lost in line and after line of a detailed maze. The shear time taken to create such a unique piece of art alone is staggering. Younes also works with mixed media art such as sculptures out of everyday objects as well as shooting both film and digital photographs. Younes has degrees in film, communication, and art history but admittedly feels her works of art are more of an accomplishment then her numerous degrees. Utilizing various mediums in order to identify the best method of self-expression, perhaps for a particular emotion or event, she strives to make unique work that ideally allows the viewer to feel something. Younes believes creating art is the most therapeutic, cathartic, satisfying way of expressing herself – she hopes this shines through to her viewers and fans when they see her work.
