Barcelona is currently housing one of the most amazing artistic experiences of the year – the always great Michael Leal is showing his newest collection entitled ”MAD FACE“ in the creative space Straight Fire at number 26 Parliament street of Sant Antoni, Barcelona. The new project by Leal is a two year endeavor started with focus on exposing the most beautiful but darker sides of human existence. The intimate shots of both male and female models mixed with graffiti and mixed media collage work is spectacular. Often using ink, paint, cardboard, poster paper, and other seemingly random materials, Leal transforms ordinary portraits of people into mesmerizing works of art. They are inspiring, thoughtful, dark, and captivating.
