When I first came across Georgia Grace Gibson’s work I was blown away. She may only be 18 years old but she’s so hip to the gender spectrum you would think she was a feminist grad student. Georgia’s work constantly plays with femininity and contrasting traditional aesthetics, stereotypical sexuality roles and pleasure. A man in women’s clothing is just the tip of the iceberg for this young artist. Georgia has had two exhibitions already and Internet fame with one of her pieces, which fans have lovingly titled, “Beyonce on her period.” Georgia’s latest femme venture has been in founding the Clandestine Collective, a female identified collective based in North East England where young girls can come together to flourish and explore each other’s ideas. You fucking go, Georgia! I can’t get enough of this girl.
