Last Saturday the Knife played their last show ever at Iceland Airwaves. It was the fourth day into the festival, the wind was blowing, stars were out, and the Icelanders were hot for the Knife. The hall was overflowing with the eager crowd, the cue extending far out beyond the horizon. Far from being the typical concert, The Knife arrived on stage as a troop of dancers, moving to the heavy beat of the tracks of their last album ‘Shaking the Habitual’, and their remix EP ‘Shaken Up Versions’. Dressed in neon outfits with glitter on their faces, siblings Karin and Olof Dreijer delivered Iceland their wild synth auras as their last goodbye.
