Not the biggest headliner of Iceland Airwaves, but definitely the biggest discovery for most people, La Femme made their presence known at this years festival. Now at the end of their six month tour around the world, you would think their would be hints of exhaustion or fatigue, but no, not La Femme, their show proved energetic and inviting – although the lyrics were in french, people didn’t seem to care, they rushed up to the stage, started dancing and humming, and the the melody seemed to take over. Quickly it sets in that this band isn’t just in love with playing music, but that they are here to mark their name down in history, proclaim their place within the music industry and have a blast doing it. They are not here to be the FFT (future french touch), to be defined by a genre, they are here to please the masses with good tunes, fresh moves, and a melody and feeling that last long past the last note ringing out after the show. La femme vous donne du plaisir.
