On Saturday, for day 22 of Red Bull Sound Select: 30 Days In LA, a packed house greeted The Head and the Heart at the Ace Hotel Theatre in downtown Los Angeles for a sold-out show. The Seattle band delivered a passionate set of sometimes delicate, sometimes hard-hitting folk-rock songs about love and travel and loss and glory, pulling from the two albums they’ve released on the always trusty, never dusty Sub Pop label. Earlier in the night, there was a captivating opening performance by Los Colognes, a likeminded, up-and-coming Red Bull Sound Select artist from Nashville. Read a full recap here.
