Space is defined by the matter that makes it up. Dana Harper ensures her spaces leave everything to the imagination. With installations that explore a multitude of colors, obscure shapes and unscaled sizes; Harper gives those who explore her art a one-way ticket into the surreal.
Her collections include a massive installation titled Bloom Bloom that blends a maze of long red strands under glaring yellow light. The experience also included large balloons that added to the airy ambience of the installation.
She’s also created a video performance titled Liquid Light where Harper sits under a black light and neon paint is poured over her body. The performance reveals the contours in strips of color and compliments her surreal motif.
Beyond installations, Dana Harper also runs an Etsy shop and creates sculptures. Her work is both immersive and introspective. Everything she creates relies heavily on the observer to define the experience for themselves.
