BIRDS OF A FEATHER – RODARTE {F/W NYFW 2015}

Photo by Kevin Tachman

From homages to Star Wars to those infamous eyebrow piercings, Rodarte is always an interesting show. For the F/W 2015 season, the sister team presented a whimsical collection of looks inspired by migrating birds flying to the country. There was an abundance of leather, lace, fur, feathers, sequins, and mesh, artfully placed in pretty layers and paired with strong boots. The result: a wonderful selection of disco-chic-meets-countryside that somehow worked. We are all for another reason to wear an all leather and black ensemble, so naturally we are obsessed.

With all the exquisiteness of the looks, the hair and makeup looks were kept simple and fresh. Models rocked deconstructed waves from the John Frieda team and the tiniest bit of crystals below the eyes from the Nars Cosmetics team. This recent trend for lazy-girl-chic is seriously getting cooler and cooler.

Take a look below at some of our favorite looks and behind-the-scenes action from the show.
