I have been hunting down and savoring every photo I can find of Brooklyn based metal apparel artist Laurel Dewitt’s F/W15 show recently held at NYFW. Dewitt has been known for her metal jewelry line LaureLux since 2010 but her recent plunge into apparel design has left the likes of Nikki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Amber Rose, Lil Kim, Cyndi Lauper and many more in awe! Due to her young status as a designer finding photos from this show has lead me mostly to random instagram accounts but despite the photo quality the pieces themselves shine back to a time of ancient decadence and royalty. Inspired by ancient Egypt, each design expresses a timeless sophistication and luxury any one would drool over. Flipping through her F/W14 and SS15 line I can honestly say the fast evolution of this metal artist is nothing short of brilliant.
