Shengshan Island, a former fishing village that’s part of the Shengsi Island cluster some 96 miles southeast of Shanghai, is visually mesmerizing. Mashable recently reported that since residents abandoned it in the 1990s, the ghost town has been completely run over by lush vegetation.
