Los Angeles’ new funktronica genius’s, THRILLERS, are doing things that’ll make yer head spin and your feet tear up more dance floors than James Brown on a coke induced 80’s musical tirade. They are relatively unknown still but don’t let that fool you, the duo are producing some of the most summer-friendly, party til your heart stops, jams of the year. Recently, the duo, consisting of the two brothers Gregory and Jeremy Pearson, debuted their first ever freshman EP, ‘COTTON CANDY KISSES’, which has been taking the internet airwaves by storm. The brothers, when asked in a recent Paper Magazine interview, revealed the theme behind the name and what the album represents, in part about love and relationships – ”sweet to taste, but it melts so fast, as if you never had it”
There are too many favorites off the album to really narrow it down to one, the duo took it to another level working with some of the best producers on the EP such as Touch Tone, who not only brought his own signature sound to the bands brand but highlighted Thrillers unique nu-disco presence pushing songs like “DESIRE” to the forefront of the album. Really though the song that caught our ears most was “CAN’T GET ENOUGH”, but don’t take our word for it, here it below and get the entire six-track EP here off TASTE Recordings.
Recently if you were in Los Angeles you may have gotten the chance to see THRILLERS open for Theophilus London on June 28th, in LA’s Koreatown.
