Mariel Cortés is a Mexican photographer who shoots mostly fashion and beauty work but explores youth and femininity as a whole. After studying photography she attended film school and other complementary courses. Her photography has been featured in publications like Nylon, Exhibit Space (London), Stick and Stones Agency, Noir Magazine, Velvet Magazine, Fauna, among others. Now she works in a production company as a still photographer for movies and television while she works on her own projects in photography and filmmaking on the side. In her first editorial for Nakid she and model Shamadhi Alarcón explore the sensual and minimalistic undertones of solitude and open spaces.
