The magical duo Vanessa Hollander & Wilson Philippe also known as WIISSA have been creating vintage fashion, and youth lifestyle films and shoots for awhile now, perfecting their aesthetic beyond just talent to full blown genius. Finding their niche, they have been able to inspire each other and all while making us nostalgic for moments we have never even lived, making us actually jealous of our parents for a change. Long gone are the days of 8 & 16mm filming, 70’s pool parties and young hippy love stories, but not for these two. Based in NYC the two have captured the hearts and pocket books of companies and artist clients the likes of Julian Casablancas + The Voidz, Karen O, Vice, Kali Uchis, Nylon, Cult Records, She Made Me, YEBO Music, Stoned Immaculate Vintage, and UNIF not to mention being featured and published by i-D, Vogue, NYLON, Rolling Stone, Oyster Mag, PAPER Mag, Noisey, i-D 2, Alldayeveryday, NME, C-Heads Mag, Dazed and Confused, VICE, Flickr Weekly, Urban Outfitters, Noisey II, Elle Magazine,The Fader, Pitchfork, Newton Magazine, Milk Made, 500 Photographers, The Wild Magazine, Zeum Mag, Girls On Film Zine, Live Fast Mag, Lovers + Drifters Club, Cake Mag, and more! They have also been awarded and recognized Winners of Flickr’s inaugural 20under20 award as well as the 20under20 Group Show at Milk Studios curated by Vogue’s Photo Director.
So sit back and bask in the amazingness that is WIISSA in this short film entitled “Can’t Seem To Make You Mine” & “Sea, Sex and Sun”! Enjoy!
