Festivals seem to be popping up left and right now a days, and especially in the EDM or electronic music scene – it’s reminiscent of the eighties explosion of rock n’ roll and the invention of what we call the rockstar lifestyle persona, as EDM has taken on a revitalized impersonation of that decades influence of the young and how influential it was in the history of music. One of those new festivals trying to break into its own amongst the masses is Cloak & Dagger Festival. Now in it’s second year, the festival is making a name for itself already, pulling huge acts like A-Trak, Branchez, Christian Martin, Destructo, Touch Sensitive, Treasure Fingers, Two Fresh, Wolf+Lamb, XXYYXX, Black Frames & more! It also has a twist to its schedule as well, its a double header event – First on the 18th playing in Dallas, TX and then the next day playing in Denver, CO. This isn’t unique, there are other festivals that have done this, but this is the first time we have seen it done in a way thatdoes back-to-back days in two major cities with a lineup like this. Two dates, two cities, back-to-back days and then it’s done – they are in an out and leaving you wanting more. With a lineup like that and this type of schedule layout the festival has huge potential to grow without having to worry about destroying its integrity and becoming over commercialized, pretentious, and losing what makes it one of the best new experiences of late Summer / early Fall! We hope you’ll join us for all the craziness this Friday as we get our party on with all the guys of Cloak & Dagger and dance the night away to some of our favorite music and artists out there!
