Pedro Jardim is an artist from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil whose art perception is directly connected with a search for his individual spirituality. He graduated from ESPM, Rio de Janeiro for graphic design and studied at NY’s School of Visual Arts in 2012. He seeks inspiration from mythology, legends, fairy tales, history, religion and many other areas. He searches for archetypes and symbols that he can transform and add to his work. His materials range from custom-cut marine plywood and recycled marble sculpture, to banners, oratory, stone painting, and more. His discontent with traditional mediums is what leads him to come up with different media to incorporate to his work. Because he believes it is important that the piece is completely made by his own hands, all of his work is made from scratch.
