This March NAKID is traveling to SXSW 2016 to do something that’s never been done before – throw a house party like nothing you have ever seen..
We teamed up with one of North Texas’ fastest rising production companies +PRIME+ to bring you something more than just a showcase, something more than just a house party, we wanna make you walk away from this feeling like you were apart of something special, it affected you, something that won’t be forgotten, can’t be.. a house party like no other with the energy of our youth, our love for the music and our absolute lust for an open bar and free booze to dance, rock, and bounce to some of the most badass artists coming up right now. Entitled NAKID HOUSE we gathered a lineup like no other and as you know we have been slowly rolling out artists all week and as the anticipation grows we are ready to announce our final artists: (DREAMCHILD) – TIM GUNTER – LE CASTLE VANIA!
Joining these three badass at the NAKID HOUSE is none other than fellow badasses American Sharks who not only bring the energy on stage but they sure has hell bring the party too! Jay Fresh and JusStone, collaborators of the highest caliber will bring Austin to their knees with the beats and rhymes to get you wildin’. For all those with a little dance in your step we brought Dallas natives ISHI who are dominating the Texas music scene and French 75 bringing the eclectic addictive rhythms and melodies that will get anyone moving. Speaking of moving, we thought we would mix it up a bit and throw an artist in the mix we think is one of the next break out artists in hip-hop and certainly brings the flow and energy to get any party lit as mother fucker in minutes, Blue, The Misfit, who is also dropping new music at SXSW 2016! Last but not least, Kaixen, a producer out of Miami who is dropping a new album soon and who also was a part of our Art Basel 2015 showcase for ISSUE III: FALL 2015 who will be opening to set the mood and get us started off right!
The idea around our showcase is to present you with some of our favorite new artists and music killing it out there in a setting striped of the ‘club’ atmosphere of bottle service, VIP and expensive bars. To turn it into something we love, something we grew up on – a house party for the ages. We want to offer something unique in the aesthetic and fashion of not only NAKID but of our ISSUE IV: WINTER 2016 publication release later this March! We have partnered with some of the best in the industry bringing in thousands of dollars of sound and lighting equipment to create an experience to rival any club. Also making sure no one goes thirsty is Tito’s Vodka and Tiger Beer sponsoring the event with the stocked open bar all night, including au natural cigarettes from Hestia Tobacco!
