Dark edgy tunes are popping out of sunny Florida. Making their debut is Colours, a duo from Sarasota, Florida. The duo, Kyle Tomo and Morgan Alley, have played together in other bands before coming together and honing their artistic style to form Colours. Their debut album, Ivory, releases February 26, 2016. Songs “Monster” and “Lawless” on Ivory are moody, catchy, and easy to chill to. I can totally envision this band playing a festival, like Bonnaroo, that has bands with varied musicalities. The sound is a dark, poppy, electronic, rock & roll hybrid that could mesh well into a festival scene. But that aside Colours is currently touring with Robert De Long with dates in Texas, Canada, and Florida. Be on the lookout for these guys…
