In the midst of the good ol town in Texas called Denton, there lies an underground venue that has seen some of the most hopeful bunch of musicians the city has ever seen. In a city where new music cycles itself every year as new talents move to the city either for school or for the music scene. Every now and then we venture in to find new talent and to groove a bit. But nothing like what we’ve encountered last weekend at the West and the Grooves show. A band formed by a group of six extravagant forces with a whole lot of funk. These are not your conventional musicians trying really hard to get Facebook likes or a record deal, but your conventional Denton natives who just want to jam and would play for the free whiskey and drugs. Because what else is there to do on a Saturday night?
Furr, cowboy boots, and glitter filled the room as well as the stage with the two lovely singers shouting out ‘Hey Bitch, why don’t you get Naked’ into a room full of willing creatures who in fact were starting to get naked. It was like a 60’s hippie gay dreamland. Trust me, these guys are the ones you want to invite to your hip birthday party to make it a dance party. Or have them play in the background of your groovy orgy parties. Their set is filled with Beyonce and Prince of Bel Air covers, lots of chemistry and sexy energy. Everything Nakid Magazine is about. Can’t wait to catch these sexy folks again!!!
