Lola Rose is an artist in Collaboration with photographer Rebecca Zephyr Thomas did this fun colorful shoot in an artist run gallery in Auckland using models from the new anti agency ‘milk shake models’ and did a mini interview on each one of them to give us a closer look into their perspectives.

what makes something beautiful to you?
– simplicity & strength & soul – which I relate to WOMEN! I work at a bar and I meet a lot of mamacitas. There are ones that strike me because of their natural beauty, there are others that I feel connected to because of their soul, others that I see who hold themselves proudly, proud of who they are – sometimes intimidating but I love the true beauty of a woman, in all forms! Might sound sexiest, but I still love my man for all of those things too
what’s your favourite thing to do in New Zealand ?
– I love nature & conversing with people it’s very healing and cleansing to the soul and I’m a people person, I love to feel connected.
what’s your message to the fashion industry?
– Be timeless – don’t be affected by the pattern or trend of fashion. Style, create, art that is yours!
if you joined a cult who would be your leader?
– hmmmm… a cult! Well I think I’m kinda already associated with one, it’s not really a cult it’s more like a gang. It’s called Milkshake Models, and our leader is Keelan aka KeeKee. She’s dope, super individual, honest with what she wants – so she gets what she wants, strong individual and has the biggest heart for the ones she cares about, if you don’t know her yet, jeez ya missing out mate ?
who/what inspires you?
– my Mumma, she is the essence to my growth, strength, depth in my feelings, honesty and simplicity! Honestly she is a woman everyone loves undeniably. Also my Kare’s, I’ve known for years now, every day I feel inspired by them! Whether it’s over social media or a phone call/text or a quick tea with some herbs – I always feel inspired in their presence!

What makes something beautiful to you?
Something in it’s purest form, something with intricacy.
what’s your favourite thing to do in New Zealand?
Sit on rooftops or balcony’s and watch the uniqueness of this place pass by. New Zealand has this calmness about it.
what’s your message to the fashion industry?
I don’t know about the industry as a whole but for the New Zealand fashion industry, keep creating! Its beautiful.
if you joined a cult who would be your leader?
Bob Nesta Marley. He was for love, sweet love. Not trouble, not war. For unity, not division.
what inspires you?
A being that’s motivated by anything and everything, and has drive to do what they want to fulfil in life…especially creatively.
