Today we have something special, as part of a 2-part serie recent photography graduate Tilly Halden celebrates and captures the meaning of family, connection & friendship. A graduate now of Manchester school of art she likes to blur the lines between fashion and documentary photography by using the relationships She has as her main source of inspiration as it captures something real and immortalises unforgettable memories.
We do not choose our families, we are born into them. Friendship, however, we do choose. The importance of these relationships in our lives is immeasurable, and crucial in the sculpting of our collective self-identity.
This body of work examines friendships itself, uncovering both the pleasure and the pain. These images offer an aperture through which the passions and vulnerabilities of a group of young adults can be observed.
