Yana Yatsuk is an artist based out of Venice, California whose subjects and mediums in her work vary but one think stays consistent, her Keene eye to think outside the box. Her main focus is to capture the vulnerability and awkwardness once you advance your film and to combine it with the agility of digital. Much of her work is multimedia, usually being a combination of painting/drawing, photographing, and collaging. This series was taken of her friend, and muse, Carson Lewallen. The series is a combination of film/digital photography, ink, watercolor, and collaging. It was taken against a wrinkled sheet tucked into some electrical wiring on a sunny day in Venice, CA, you wouldn’t know that though by looking at how amazing the set came out!
