Anna of the North released a new single “Us” and it is a bright, synth –laden, dreamy pop song that I love, love, love. The duo, Anna of the North, hail from Oslo and call their music “Scandi-pop”, or Scandinavian pop music, and it is yummy. “Us” is a bright sounding pop song about the darker side of love as Anna’s sweet voice sings, “We both know that this is wrong.” I definitely have a soft spot for pop songs about complicated and messy relationships. Anna of the North’s music is catchy with an effortless coolness about it and is perfect for weekend chilling. “Us” follows Anna of the North’s previous single releases: “Sway”, “The Dreamer” and “Baby”. Anna of the North is making waves with a super impressive 32 million streams of her music already. So far Anna of the North has only released singles and an EP so be on the lookout for more from this lovely scandi-pop tart.
