“Valedictorian” is brought to you by Photographer, Patrick Wilkinson, and Wardrobe Stylist, Sondra Choi. They met one year ago at work, where shortly after experienced an instant bond. The duo soon teamed up and in a collaboration of shoots, brought them to create “Valedictorian,” their first editorial in which they imagined a world based on this character. Sondra wanted to create a bad girl and Patrick’s love of cinema envisioned her to become a character.
The shoot had been planned for months with no luck of finding a fit for this character, until the perfect bad girl walked into their studio at work, Liesl Korndoerfer, a small town girl from Wisconsin. Hair and makeup also played a key role in bringing this character to life. That’s where Crystal Long came in who has a great understanding of narrative.
“She ditches class to chill out, drink, smoke and doesn’t care about the consequences. She doesn’t give a fuck about school or what she’s going to do next.”
