For the first time ever we are opening up music submissions to our biggest party of the year.. NAKID HOUSE during but not associated with this years SXSW 2017! Last year during the SXSW music festival 2016 in Austin, TX we set out to change what a great showcase was really all about, a festival known for its vast array of musical talent from all over the world as well as brands coming from all over to show you what they’re all about should reflect that in the music showcases around the city. We wanted to create something that took on more than a showcase or just a party, but a moment, something nostalgic in the midst of the craziness occurring around you. We wanted to create an event that felt natural and exclusive, something that was bigger than just NAKID or our partners PRIME, something that you’d never forget. In that mindset and inspiration we set out and started a house party that lived up to the hype of what you wanted the perfect house party to be, and we called it NAKID HOUSE! The party was covered by everyone from VICE, NME, DJ Mag to also talked about all over the city of Austin including radio stations around town leading up to the start of the fest and during! We sold out two weeks before the start and heavy weight brands that came out and sponsored our vision were AIRCOM AUDIO, HESTIA, TITO’S VODKA, PHHHOTO app, and more! With artists like Jay Fresh + JusStone, French 75, Ishi, Kaixen, Blue, The Misfit and Bronze Whale, it’s easy to see why the hype was real and the party was one of the most talked about and hardest to get into.
This year the lineup will blow you away, and in the coming weeks we will be releasing our huge headliner list as well as our artists to watch showcase of talent from around the world. This year we invite you to submit you sound cloud and website/social pages for the chance to be featured as an artist to watch at this years NAKID HOUSE – unofficial SXSW 2017 showcase! All you need to do is submit your music and social links to DUSTIN@NAKIDMAGAZINE.COM and you’re all set! The only stipulation is you must be at the festival to be showcased, travel is not included in this contest – Event Date: March 17th, 2017.
