We are officially done with SXSW shenanigans and ready to get back to work. Yes, maybe we had a bit too much fun during our visit to Austin. The NAKID HOUSE was an absolute blur pass the Crywolf set, and much of our nights there ended up not at night but that next morning. Yet I made it a priority to get some visuals done. For the ‘Papa Was a Holly Roller’ I hooked up with Austin native AJ Perez, who’s grungy looks went right along the vision for the project.
“Being in the most Psych Rock and weird city in the world, we couldn’t pass on doing a Rock and Roller- like photo-shoot. So we pulled out some old rags out of the closet, played some classic Marilyn Manson, rolled some spliffs on vintage playboy mags and drank some cheap local beers to set the mood. Everything was lined up so we just went at it and rode the Rock & Roller waves.”
