Magda Kaczmarska is an artist with a fascination with female figures, all shapes and types. Especially with her own, as a form of self-expression and self-discovery her series of video nude portraits showcase the beautiful yet dark and twisted reality of being both embracing and ashamed of your own body.
“I am interested in the different gazes of the female body and how people think and feel when they see a nude body in its many different forms and representations. I believe the body is a beautiful piece of art and I want to celebrate it. I wish to provoke some thought with this film, in knowledge that not everyone will agree with what it represents. Yet the process of making this film was one of the most liberating and empowering things I have ever done.”
