Tom & Collins might sound like a super duo cartoon series from the 90’s, with lots of action packed comics and flamboyant suits; really a great name that leaves so much to the imagination. Although the Mexican duo are not really super heroes, they make some kick-ass music that’s so funky and animated that it sounds like the soundtrack to your favorite super hero movies. Their newest single ‘Give Me A Reason’ is a groovy musical experience through the soulful lanes of electronic-funk music, composed with the all the right ingredients for a good time. The vocals showcase a bluesy yet thirsty tone with lyrics that read “Give me one reason to stay here and Ill turn right back around, said I don’t want to leave you lonely so you gotta change my mind” over some upbeat feel-good bass line that makes this track so contagious and energetic.
Previously Tom & Collins have catapulted into the limelight with their #1 HypeM official remix of Sofi Tukker’s “Hey Lion” alongside official remixes of Madonna, Ariana Grande, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Azalea Banks and Iggy Azalea and performed at festivals including EDC Vegas, Beyond Wonderland, Mayan Madness in Tulum and Holi Fest of Colors in Mexico. Most recently they were the first Mexican DJs to play at the Latin Grammys official after party in Hakkasan Nightclub in Las Vegas, and their original track “Mutual” which released on Universal’s Latin electronic imprint Aftercluv Dancelab was premiered on Nylon.
