Photographer James Bonsema shot this exclusive editorial for NAKID on all 35mm analog film – the photos were shot on a deserted beach in the quiet and beautiful sand dunes of Melbourne, Australia with model, Betts. Exploring many themes for this shoot was important to Bonsema; the power of women, our connection with nature/earth and also the human body and how it moves and looks were all big influences for this series. Titled “Pretty, Pink ‘n’ Fucking Powerful” he and the model roam the beach land with only fake pink weaponry, a youthful spirit and intuition as every shot mimics a retro vibe look and rebellious feel.
