From what we have seen so far in 2017 Music Videos tend to rely too much on overly saturated hues and psychedelic drug-like induced post editing tricks, and conceptually only a handful of visual projects stand out like Elli Ingram‘s Music Video for her latest single “Table for Two”. The project features an exasperated pregnant waitress, a very greasy lady bodybuilder and a series of over the top characters frozen in time inside an old dinner, with some very dramatic close ups that contrast so beautifully with Elli’s contemptuous vocals that fall in between the joviality of a cheerful SIA and the solemnity of a broken hearted Adele. Directed by none other than Nadia Lee, one of Britain’s most sophisticated creative directors in collaboration with Soki Mak, Maria Asadi and Jake Gallagher, the music video sure lies as a firm contender for our favorite videos of the year.
