Photographer Zach Phan and NAKID teamed up for this exclusive interview and editorial series titled, ‘Les Inclassables‘. Starring model Camilia at DULCEDO Models, with mua/hair by Shannie Jung at JUDY Inc., ‘Les Inclassables‘, french for The Indefinables, ‘refers to the unique quality of the youth of Montréal with different walks of life.’ says Phan. The series is inspired by the interrogation scenes on Law & Order. Of all the amazing never ending tv shows to model an interview/photo series around, that is definitely the top of the list. Zach seeks to understand his subject’s perspective in a series of questions, similar to those riveting SVU/Criminal Intent episodes, revealing insights about their experiences at school, others misconception of them or in general about people and why people become or are, depressed.

What is the worst thing that has happened at school?
When my high school found out a girl had sex in the boys’ washroom.
Is there a song that have made you cry?
No! I cry in movies. Like Blue Valentine.
What is something you wish people would do more of?
I wish people can be more respectful.
What is one advice you would give to your thirteen-year-old self?
Be confident and don’t let the people at school get the best of you.
Why do some people get depressed?
Societal pressure.
What is something some people should fix?
Some should stop thinking overlook virgins as not fun people. I think it’s still important to wait until the right one.
What is a misconception that people seem to have about the youth in Montréal?
That we are mindless with no voice.
What is missing in Montréal?
A beach. Montréal is a city that practically has everything but a beach.
