You may not know the name Martin Hedegaard but you are about to never forget the name SAVEUS! The 24 year old multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer who hails from the small town of Ørum, Denmark, is taking an old soul musical rhythm and creating something that’s magic, a voice within that is full of energy and a brilliant sci-fi inspired pop sound that gets your heart racing. Hedegaard under the alias of SAVEUS has just released his latest masterpiece straight from the studio with American sound-guru, Andrew Dawson, who has blessed the work of Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, HEALTH and Sleigh Bells with his magic touch, oh and who has – by the way – been Kanye’s prefered studio engineer and co-producer on all his albums since 2004. SAVEUS and Dawson are the perfect match! They both have a very uncompromised attitude to sound and mixing and ’Watch The World’ – which is a song about being a passive observer in new and darker times – is a genre-hybrid best described as digital soul.
