Following the release of his enigmatic debut LP ‘Velvet‘ — an unorthodox take on sex, drugs, and self-awareness — Dallas based rapper XES is back to deliver new visuals for his first single “Group A to Group E” a 90’s video game inspired music film but with mature and fetish-like aesthetics. Directed by the Rapper himself in collaboration with Natasha Cortes and Anayancy Gonzalez, the project is a numbing experience, it takes you away from your current mindset and sucks you into the mind-bending, carnal psychedelic world of Velvet.
In a refreshing note, his sound has proven to be adventurous and racy as well as polished and well structured, something that the Texas Hip-Hop industry doesn’t see much of and we can only hope to see more of in 2018.
