Their back! That’s right, the Dallas based Electro-pop duo French 75 are back with a brand new single and music video premiere for ‘IF YOU LOVE‘, off the hotly anticipated new full length sophomore album release ‘RELIQUARY’ which follows their first successful freshman album release in 2017Â ‘ECHOES’. Produced by Chris Lund of Left/Right, who recently finished his Summer Shadows tour and is charting on Beat Port, the new song ‘IF YOU LOVE’Â is a move for the band into a broader territory as a full musical act, recently adding Laura Hale on bass and Tommy Busby on guitar.
For years the band has been one of Dallas, TX hidden gems within the music scene. Having been in other music projects for years they came together in a time when music in the southern charm of Texas was starting to make moves, mostly hip-hop, but every now and then an electronic band with such a unique sound breaks through like Neon Indian, and right now that band is French 75. They are a refreshing sound that tugged at your every emotion and left you stunned, inspired and probably tired as shit because you just danced your heart out to every song in their repertoire. That’s what they do, they overwhelm you with a barrage of amazing sounds all synced perfectly to a harmony and musical aesthetic that’s all their own.
The music video is a live performance that was concepted and directed by Joe Lane Harris of Sidechops. Expect a continuation of darkness with a hint of the supernatural for the music that continues to be released by French 75. If this new single is any indication of what we have in store with French 75 this year, it’s gonna be a hell of a year for 2018 and music fans. Directed by none other than Cole Keeton himself, the art direction hints of Stanley Kubrick inspiration with a thought provoking creative voice to it, constantly questioning everything you see.
