
What a wonderful suprise it is to wake up to learn your new favorite festival is back with a bigger and better line up. Fortress Festival will again partner with Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth to allow festival attendees the opportunity to expereince a mult-media journey through the two outdoor stages and a tour to the museum with it’s many renowned art exhibits.
Fortress Festival’s 2018 line up will bring performances by Father John Misty and Courtney Barnett, supported by a music lineup that places a strong emphasis on female-led groups including tUnE-yArDs, Rapsody, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Waxahatchee,Jay Som and Bedouine; as well as a nostalgic roster of 90’s hip-hop legends with music acts like De La Soul, RZA and Shabazz Palaces (via Digable Planets). This year’s event also boasts the acclaimed funk and soul groups Chicano Batman, Lee Fields & The Expressions and Stone Mecca, the latter of which will be performing on stage with RZA as part of the Wu Tang rapper’s festival appearance; as well as an eclectic mix of local music acts from across the North Texas region.
