A multi-instrumental producer from a quiet town in Indiana, USA. Picking up guitar at the age of 15, his musical journey began and soon enough Corey’s life was devoted to the art of sound. Future-funk tinged with groovy house vibes, topped off with a sweet touch of summery soul – “Red Lights” is music in it’s most addictive form. Performing under the moniker for nearly 13 years, his prosperity began to shine with a signing to OWSLA in 2012, where he would release two EPs, To A New Earth and Foreplay. In 2015, he launched his own independent label and management company, Sexy Electric, where he aimed to create a space by artists, for artists. It was there he released his debut album, Galaxies Between Us in 2015. KP has undoubtedly pioneered a sound in the space of electronic music, snagging over 35 million plays on his tracks and racking up over 250k fans on all his networks. Touring with acts like Zedd and Bassnectar in the past, he continues to hit the road internationally headlining and performing all around the globe.
The pairing with Swedish starlet Dotter is proving to be a dynamic one, with Dotter’s silky vocals providing a natural contrast in texture and tones to Kill Paris’ energetic, electro style. The two artists clearly compliment compliment each other’s styles and Kill Paris couldn’t have agreed more, “It was a really seamless experience working with Dotter for ‘Red Lights.’ We wanted to create a song that had an ‘end of summer’ vibe and I think the final result is a song that we are both proud of and excited for. Hoping this inspires some great dance videos!“
Kill Paris is set to reveal his Awakening EP in early 2018, with plenty of tour dates to continue. Watch this space.
“When the idea of doing a music video for Red Lights came up, I said to my team “I want to be on rollerblades and in a laundromat.” So with those “strict and brand-specific guidelines”, Brad, our director, really came through with an amazing treatment. We pulled a few all nighters to shoot this ridiculousness and make the idea of the video come to life. I wanted something fun and memorable, and I feel like this hit all those spots.I was actually running a fever and disturbingly ill for one of the nights, making the headbanging and rollerblading a bit of a challenge. Despite all things, the visual for Red Lights came to fruition in a way I could’ve never predicted… Feels like this one will stick with people. Hope my fans have as much fun watching as we did making this!”
“We wanted to center the video around something everybody loves. My first thought was puppies but if we had a hundred chubby puppies flopping around set, nothing would get done and we’d still be on location melting over them. So what else completely wrecks hearts? Pizza– like literally. Everybody loves a big cheesy slice of pizza. So the video is made up of everything we love. You’ll see nods to Ridley Scott’s Alien, The Walking Dead, Michael Jackson’s Thriller, other laundromat music videos we love, and those drunk late night orders to Domino’s all interacting and inspired by the rhythm sections Corey thoughtfully arranged.”– Brad Wong (Director)
