Analog Photographer, Griffin Douglass is based in Australia. He submitted his latest series focusing on marijuana legalization in his country of residence.
“there’s a beauty in shooting something, being black out drunk and only having a few rolls of film to tell you what happened. I started shooting all of my friends from the start. I’ll only take photos of things I love, I hope people can see the fun in my shots. I want to put people there with us. I hope to be photographing surfing, music gigs and piss heads for the rest of my life, no matter where it takes me. This latest series, I wanted to focus on the struggles we have with marijuana legalization here in Australia. The day was beautiful, I wanted to show people being free in an incredibly illegal environment. It was all done very secretively. No one knew where we were going exactly and we couldn’t say. It’s extremely rare to see something like this in Australia and I hope this is a step towards catching up with the rest of the world. “
