This is the story of a girl yearning for her lover. In their favorite hotel in Paris « Maison Nabis », they are used to meet to drink a sip of champagne and then tenderly undo the sheets of their suite. Near the Butte Montmartre, this hotel is a trendy “art-deco” where mixes old gold metal and thick green velvet, and Japanese prints. This time, she will wait for him without anyone ever coming. So she occupies her time as she can. Clara Berryplays the mutine abandoned. She knows how to play a sulfurous look and lascivious poses as if her lover was already there. She is dressed by Gwendoline Franco with transparent fabrics, luxurious materials and very feminine outfits. The stylist chose tones that match the place; precious green silks, royal red with touches or in total look, or deep dark black enhanced by more colorful prints. We chose to make Clara as natural as possible. Our make-up artist Océane Sitbon decided to highlight the beautiful skin of the model with clever touches of shine on the cheekbones and around the eyes. It’s a day look made to perfection by a professional makeup artist. Our hairdresser Benjamin Mignot for this story chose to texturize the hair to get closer to the style of dreadlocks. Clara has an extraordinary length of hair and we wanted to change her usual look and play with her hair.
The global universe of this shoot, between the place, the story we wanted to tell and the style, was very elegant, almost glamorous, but we wanted to keep a more “raw” aspect, and it is through the Benjamin’s hair styling proposal that we found it. « Oui Chéri, » , is an editorial that tells a story, a bit like a movie. About the art direction, I wanted to keep desaturated tones, much like an aged photo-film. Some images were made with an analog camera and I kept this atmosphere for the editing of the digital photos.

This editorial basically deals with a reality. We all expect love, the next, the new or the old one … And until it finally arrives, we wait.
