INSIDE TAKASHI MURAKAMI’S “THE OCTAPUS EATS ITS OWN LEG” VIP EXHIBIT {EVENTS \ EXHIBITIONS}

Set to be publicly exhibited at the Modern Arts Museum in Fort Worth, Tx starting June 10, Japanese Legendary Artist Takashi Murakami was seen exited and cheerful wearing his iconic Octopus Plush Hat at the VIP launch Exhibit. Dancing with special guest performers the Jabbawockees and pulling up to the function with two life-size plush Octopus from his ‘The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg’ series. The was co-hosted by the Modern Museum of Arts and Fortress Presents and offered a celebration with performances by the Jabbawockees, A-Track, and DJ Sober. As well as an exclusive look at Murakami’s gallery showcasing some of his most legendary work dating back to 1997. Some of the highlighted pieces including his figurative art piece ‘My Lonesome Cowboy’ (1998), multiple variations of his Mr. DOB All Stars (Oh My The Mr. DOB) (1999),  A large-scale Flower Mantango sculpture (2006), Kanye West Art Work and Bear Sculpture (2009) and his forever vibrant wall art pieces ‘Open Your Hands Wide, Embrace Happiness’ and  ‘An Homage to IKB’ (2010 – 2011).
The Retrospective Exhibition also marks the launch of the newest addition to his merch collectibles, a colorful  ‘Flower’ cushions series in three different colors and sizes that vary from 30 centimeters to 2 meters.
“Takashi Murakami: The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg” at the Modern Museum of Fort Worth will be opened from June 10 until Sept. 16 with an admission price of $10 – $16
