‘STOCK IMAGE’ – MIYA FOLICK – MUSIC VIDEO {NEW MUSIC FRIDAYS / ARTIST TO WATCH}

If Santa Ana-based vocalist and songwriter Miya Folick sound familiar to you, it might be because you’ve heard her music in your favorite Netflix show ’13 Reasons Why’. Or maybe because NPR or The New York Times have all shown some love to the daring and eclectic style of the songstress. And if you haven’t heard of her yet, today should be perfect to get acquainted as she debuts the new track “Stock Image” along with a video directed by Bryan Schlam.

“Stock Image is the conversation you have with yourself when you’re feeling lost and your color has faded,” says Folick. “When you’re too focused on inhabiting a certain image and then suddenly you realize your insides are empty, that you’re just a frame. I wrote it from a place of feeling shallow and gray and wanting to feel Full! Deep! Vibrant! I hope it makes you feel lush and colored in.”

“Stock Image”—out now on Terrible Records/Interscope Records—is the latest track to be released from Folick’s forthcoming, highly anticipated debut LP, co-produced with Justin Raisen (Sky Ferreira, Charli XCX, Santigold and Angel Olsen). Make sure to keep up with Miya via Instagram, Facebook or Soundcloud for more news.
