A joint collaboration performed by Anastasia Akimova and Pavel Lichman. The project entitled: “Alter Ego” investigates some reflections concerning loneliness and the reality of people’s fantasies. This story aim is the answers search dealing with a number of questions. Where is the border between one person and another? How could any person be sure that all the events taking place at the moment is the reality but not the dream? How should we distinguish them? Should we interpret all the links of the reality as our dreams only? This shoot principle lies in natural aesthetics and absence of any photo manipulation obtaining a more frank display of images being created. The mastermind behind this project, Anastasia, as an attempt to analyze herself as a part of her art in which she combines two functions —a photographer and a hero . «As a photographer, with a course of time, I got preoccupied with a problem of a person’s with a camera power over a model. It is especially important during nude shooting. Possessing great power over the model during photo shooting the photographer seems to commit something like a violation act over the model. I wonder what takes place if you realize that you find yourself in the similar situation as the model and you are obliged to commit the same violation act over yourself. In the long run, a little bit destructive, at the first sight, project discovers not only the theme of relationship between a man a woman but turns into one of the examples of a very intimate, self-portrait, photography» —Anastasia Akimova.
