Last Saturday we invaded LA for one reason, to celebrate the LA music and nightlife scenes hottest indie dance party, Dance Yourself Clean, and their incredible 5 year anniversary. There are literally couples who can’t even last five years married let alone a dance party In one of the hardest markets in the U.S., but they have grown to more than your local dance party, dominating in Seattle (where they originated) as well as Brooklyn and Portland. The weekly party has seen it’s fair share of scene trends but has always been a place where patrons know they can go to let loose, dance and get to hear great music, doesn’t hurt that it’s nestled in one of the most beautiful and hip neighborhoods in LA also and takes place at one of LA’s best love music venues, The Satellite.
To mark the occasion Dance Yourself Clean and NAKID teamed up to bring you one hot night of dancing and documenting leverything that is DYC Saturday’s! This is the first part of our two part gallery – Special guest headliners The Limousines rocked the house and kept the dance floor shaking with a special photo booth and roaming photos by NAKID Online Editor Charis Kirchheimer and our Editor-In-Chief/Founder Dustin Hollywood!
We want to wish a happy birthday to all the crew of Dance Yourself Clean and thank them for having us out to celebrate with them, it was one hell of a party! Here’s to five more years!
