Bet you didn’t know that music artist Edu Rubio Pineda just released a new 5-track EP album called ‘DÀO’, well you do now. Dào represents the culmination of a musical project Pineda has been working on recently. It comes from the soul and aims to bring to the pop rhythm within him into synergy with the conceptual imagery that can be seen in his installations and other sound objects. The intentional choice of sounds and textures such as noises, sounds out of tune and non-rhythmic structures (conventionally associated to a sound world related to the museum space, traditionally perceived as inaccessible to the general public) help him deconstruct the classic notion of the pop song, which is turned into a place of experimentation in favor of the autonomous meaning of sound.
