Finnish photographer and filmmaker Mountain Island lives in Barcelona, Spain. He and model Christine Gischler teamed up for today’s exclusive NAKID feature short film titled, ‘Never Be April‘ and he had this to say about it:
“I just finished my own song “Never be April” and did a video to go along with the song. Music has been a long time hobby for me but the restrictions that have been affecting on our everyday and especially our work in photography, got me to focus fully on my song making. And also to combine the creativity both in music and visuals.
The song and video have been created and finished in quarantine. Video material with model Christine Gischler was shot just before the lock down in Spain in our home Korento Villa and since it’s not possible to do shoots normally in these times, the footage has now been used together with some personal aRchive materials and newly shot landscape materials for a full story. It´s a about flashes of memories, the good old and hopefully better new world and about social isolation from friends or lovers.”
