With Irish producer EDEN’s mastermind project New World Tapes well and truly underway, dance act Krewes now launches themselves with their debut single “Complicate”. The new track follows earlier singles featuring ATO (“Yours Now”), namara (“The Corner I Painted Myself Into”), and Elohim (“Vacuum”).
Stepping into the forefront for the first time, Krewes looks set to bring a new energy to the dance and electronic space. EDEN taps the mysterious dance act for a new minimalist number, built on the bedrock of an infectious rumbling rhythm and lilting melody. But with fine design, “Complicate” gradually grows into an emphatic soundscape, textured by the plethora of adlibs and other mysterious sounds that make it stand out in a truly innovative way.
Much about Krewes remains a mystery, but such is the extent of EDEN’s latest project, which puts the spotlight on many new and unspotlighted acts, including namara among others.
The project in question is New World Tapes – a brand new effort masterminded by the Irish music phenomenon. Made together with a host of boundary-defying artists from around the globe, this compilation project will see a new release every week exclusively on his label, culminating with the full project being available to purchase on vinyl. A beautiful gift despite the difficult times we are in, the careful curation of artists allows a truly innovative collection of music developed under the net of the current global landscape.
